P3 socket question

Sketchy

My question is, what different slots/sockets are there for the P3? And which speeds fall under which categories? Like socket 370, FC-PGA, etc.

Thanks in advance.

The Pentium III currently uses the FC-PGA....it's a Socket 370 processor: it has 370 pins. Soon there will be a new type called FC-PGA2 for the Tualatin Pentium IIIs. This is also a socket 370 processor, but is incompatible with FC-PGA boards.

Ugh...that's probably confused you more.

The socket itself is called Socket 370. FC-PGA, FC-PGA2 and PPGA (for the original Celerons) are all different forms of processors for Socket 370.

flip chips, like 933, are 133 fsb

there are 100 fsb cpus also.

then there are slots, etc, go to intels page, they have everything really well laid out.
