the Big Bro Big Sis chapter I do sysadmin stuff for just had a gateway computer mobo fry. It's well out of warranty (4 years old if not more).. but everything is still good from what I can tell.. Since their fileserver just got a real case, all I need is a mobo with the following in mind:

onboard *everything*
supports P3-800
ATX

With stability and price in mind... preferably name brand. Thanks for your help, the ladies will be grateful.

you may do best to check around Ebay as well as the FS/T forum. PIII motherboards are getting more and more scarce. I can't think of any fully intergrated boards off the top of my head, but look around. For stability check asus and intel.

SDRAM boards are pretty much all out of production now, and SDRAM is more than DDR. I've ran into a couple of these older systems and it's really becoming almost pointless to spend any decent amount of money into them as you can get all new stuff for probably about the same price or less. Since these types of boards are all scarce, when you do find a shop selling them, they are usually going for higher price than a new, up to date board.

For instance...you can get a Epox KM400 board with USB 2.0, LAN, video, and 5.1 sound for under $50, and a Duron 1.8Ghz for maybe $40 or so.
