P3 850E Slot1 CPU + Abit BH6 v1.0?

Hello,

Will a Pentium3 850E (8.5 X 100 MHz) Slot-1 processor work with a BH6 v1.0 motherboard (what BIOS version would I need to use)? Or would I need to use a FC-PGA processor + Slot-1 adapter to get the correct voltage?

I'm in the same boat you are in right now. I also have an Abit BH6 rev 1.0 mb. I was told to purchase a P3 700E FCPGA and Abit or MSI slotket. I'm currently looking for a place to purchase the P3 700e. It's much better for overclocking than the P3 850E.
