This chip is on my Asus CUSL2 with 128 MB MUSHKIN w/SIEMENS Infineon PC133 at this time. I'm really not into overclocking right now as this CUSL2 kicks the AGP transfer rate down to 2X when overclocking. Did go to 900MHz for a couple hours tonight and looped 3DMark2000 with no problems and no heat issiues. But with this cC0 was wondering what others have been able to do. I relize most stay away from the EB's but I don't mind it personaly.

Over at Overclockers.com didn't see any info posted for the P3 800EB's. Do you think having a EB w/cC0 would make a difrence for O/C'ing the EB's ? as far as getting higher O/C'ing results ?

Thanks for any input.

Most people who overclock stay away from the chips that already run at 133 FSB. 150 FSB will put you at 900 MHZ but it's somewhat hard to get reliable performance past 150 FSB. I usually don't go any higher than 150 FSB. You probably could have gotten a PIII 600 up to 150 FSB for the same 900 MHZ. Actually, both the PIII 600 and PIII 800EB have a 6X multiplier and are pretty much the same chip except one is defaulted to run at 100 FSB and the other is defaulted to 133 FSB.

Aey Metal,

What JmsAndrsn said was all correct. I hve to agree all there.
Gid thing you got CC0 steppin. To get highly desired amt of FSB will be limited because mobo or most of any other mobos are the bottle-neck w/o special coolin. your ASUS CUSL2 is very good mobo. should be better than mine. you can go little higher.. 155- 156 FSB mite be feasible fer u. I think the reason why OVerclockers.com had no info posted for P3 EBs o'clk result is because they aint for o'clking. Mine hits 900mhz from a 800eb procss CB0 type.. with all games playable and stable with some extra coolin. You gonna have to cool yur mobo chipsets big time to get the FSB really high. Bottom line is that like what JmsAndrsn said, get a E based procss..

Hey, thanks for your info people ;) This system is just fine how it is for me, but was just wondering since I found out this chip has the cCO stepping. All sound reasonable to me.

This system is for my kid ages 12 & 9 but is the family comp as of right now. Gonna build a AMD Thunderbird system around Feburary or March for myself. This would be my fist build for a AMD machine as all previous were Intel builds.
