Well i starts fine on 933 and even runs 3dmark flawlessly (bumped my score 20%). but when i play halflife the game hangs after half our or so :(. any idea where the problem may lie? (i uped the volatge to 1.75)

****Edit**** acording to MBM5 temp remains below 40C and i am using Alpha PEP66 with fan for cooling (Radio shack thermal grease)

Up the voltage more. If it boots and runs a loop of 3dmark 2000, then I'd say it's a fairly good bet the chip can manage a nice and stable 933Mhz with a bit more juice. Try 1.8 or 1.85v.

Yeah...that happens....see sig....

Up the voltage to 1.80 or 1.85 volts. Should do a bit better.

What are you using to cool it? It sounds like a heat issue. If you are using the stock HSF change it for a gorb or alpha and use some Artic Silver.

Make the bump up to 1.8 volts. That voltage is quite safe. I think anywhere up to 1.9 is pretty safe but 1.9 would be pushing it.

You probably need to cool your cpu better. Hangs after half hour usually means it overheated.

If the voltage bump does not do it get some Artic Silver and use that instead of the Radio Shack stuff. Actually get the Artic Silver even if the voltage jump works. It will knock the temps down more.
