I just got this processor, and I am using 4 sticks of 64MB PC100 RAM (all different brands)and I am probably limited to 124 front side bus speed due to my RAM. Anyways, I am getting PC133 RAM soon.

My question is this, if I run this processor (which is at 1.75v) 24x7, will I be burning in this speed and keep myself from running at 133 front side bus (and therefore at 933 processor speed) when I get the new ram? Should I just clock the processor down to default 700MHz at the default voltage and not try to overclock further until I get my new ram?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question to some of the experts out there.

Thanks.

No don't worry, your CPU won't get locked at the lower bus speed due to burning it in. If anything it'll help you reach the 133 fsb when you get that new RAM. Burning in just means that after you run a CPU at some certain overclocked speed after some time the stability increases at that speed and above after the CPU gets accustomed to running at such speeds above spec but it'll certainly never get "stuck". Of course I don't know what's actually going on on a technical level, it just works and that's all I need to know :)... but such is the way of overclocker.

good luck,
