p3 450 w/ti4200 64mb geforce4, any point in overclocking the geforce?

You won't see a damn bit of a gain by overclocking it. In fact, you could probably underclock it and enable maximum anisotropic filtering and FSAA and still be processor limited.

At least you can say you can run 4X FSAA with no performance hit.... because your graphics card will have tons of power to spare while waiting on the processor.

;) Precisely, 4200 with anything under 800mhz CPU is completely pointless I'm afraid. You'd be much better off with a 1ghz CPU and GF3TI200 or Rad8500LE. As said, you can enable AA and Aniso, maybe even up the res in order to use up some of the 4200's untapped potential. 450mhz can't even get the most out of a GF2TI or Rad7500, in fact a GF2MX, so in short save up your pennies and upgrade that CPU! For gaming gfx card is more important than CPU, but not to that extreme, Athlon1.4ghz & 4200 will kick the ass of a P4 2.53ghz & GF4mx!
