P3 450@550 or Cel366@550

Which one would you think is faster, the P3 is a Kat, not Cop. I think the P3 still would be, but curious about what you guys think?

P3 for all intensive purposes. It has the larger onboard cache. You probably dont have to clock all your components as high either. If the prices are the same then I would definatly go with the P3.

the p3,although 4.5x124=558,if you mo/bo dosent support 1/4 diveder at bus speeds over 100mhz,the 450 could become unstable.The cel366 overclocked to 550 will be at 100mhz bus speed.All pci cards would still be at their 33mhz standard bus speed,harddrives included.The Katami is a p2,with the 512k cache,correct?Anyways it would smoke a cel.

Don't forget about SSE. Its not much but it does make a lot of difference in some apps.

P3 450@550 is definitely better.

the p3 higher bus and sse = faster.

the p3 will be faster, but also make you much more likely to run into asisnine stability issues with all your bus speeds.
