I have a problem with some networking. I have 2 computers with Windows 200, SP2, etc.. Using a Linksys 10/100 v4.0 LAN card. When I boot up everything works fine but when it reaches the desktop (after Preparing Network connections) it takes a while for the Network Monitor Icon to appear on the lower right hand side of the task bar (around 1 min). Somehow when my laptop connects to it using Linksys cardbus 32 Bit version... using Windows ME only... I just plug the cable in and within 4-5 secs I can connect, print from the shared printer, transfer files or do anything else. What is going on or what can I do to make bootup it faster for the 2 Windows 2000 computers....?? I have DHCP enabled on the 2 Windows 2000 computers. On the Linksys Card there are a bunch of stuff like Send Magic packets, etc... what are the best settings ??
