Great news! That means newsgroup providers can now spend more money with improving their service and adding new great features! It is really the only place where anyone can max their connection 24/7 if they actually download that much. Now if you love to upload same there as well sense that is totally free forever. I know most people don't though. That is the beauty of it. You get to decide.
The first person who says then this will get newsgroups shutdown sorry but that can't happen. Even if they tried they would have to go up against some multimillion dollar companies. If all the newsgroup companies did a combined fight it would easily be well over a billion dollars they would be trying to go after. Not going to happen. I don't care if the stupid easy point and click sites get taken down. There is always the old method to fall back on. Even today you still have to use that sometimes if retention doesn't go back far enough.
