P2P tracking

The College that I attend has just said that downloading music off of p2p networks is against school policy and can get you kicked out if you get caught. I'm using frostwire on my mac, if I disable sharing can I still get caught doing this?

I really do not know much about high tech networking and things like that. They have implemented ruckus, but, I don't like DRM and having to pay to put it on my ipod.

-Thanks

Yes, you can still get caught. Maybe you could ask the campus IT dept. for workarounds. 😛

Anything you do on the net can be traced back to you, it's just a matter of time, know how, and resources.

Well, thats not entirely true, but for the most part yes. And with P2P it's nearly impossible given the way it works.
