I use to have moderatly good download speeds in emule and other P2P, like morpheus, warez and kazzalite up to 100+ B/s. When my ISP gave a free upgrade from 2M download speed to 4M starting of this month, my downloads are either crawling at 2~5 B/s or no download at all. The settings are all correct. I have set set the ports open, I even uninstalled zonealarm to see if it is the cause, reinstalled fresh windows and set my connection limit to unlimited using XPANTISPY. Still no change in performance.

But my browsing, streaming videos from youtube and cnet and so on have not been effected at all and I can even see a improvement in performance. The videos stream with out intruptions. My FTP and HTTP downloads are faster but why are emule and other P2P downloads crippled?

Is my ISP stopping P2P somehow? Is that possible in the 1st place? If so is there any workaround? Or is this happening to everyone around the world? It has been 3 weeks since I last downloaded and watched one of my fav japanese anims.Anyone know the reason?

I had the same problem, I was using Bitcomet, it turned out that in Norton Systemworks (2005) the worm protection is just another firewall that is sensitive to file sharing, and wouldnt allow it in, I had to shut the worm protection off whenevr i used Bitcomet, I have since swithched to internet Security 2006 and have no problems, another thing may be if you are using a router with its own IP/Mac P2P 's are funny when it comes to that and you just might need too configure accordingly ( when you uped your packag, sometimes they reset or changed something that you never had to touch before) . Dont know if any of this helps but there it is anyway
