P182 vs CM 690

for a system, Pentium 850D, that runs 48C normal and 65C (the maximum I can get before crash) on maximum load, should I get P182 which is more expensive, better looking, decent air-flow, quieter and better build-quality or CM 690, badass cooling, noisier, cheaper and somewhat flimsier cases?

whoa. what a long sentence. I like a quiet system, but as you see good cooling system is a must. but I don't know if the CM 690 cooling is overkill. I don't care about OC.

If you want better CPU cooling then get a better CPU cooler. But if you want a cooler case then the CM690 is the way to go. It no more noisier then any other standard mid tower. Its all a matter of what fans you use and its not a flimsy case. But yes the P182 is built for being quiet. Its much heavier because of its composite construction which aids in it being a quiet case. There is no such thing as overkill on case cooling. Its not like your going to over cool the case. Besides the case only comes with a couple of fans. If you want to use all the fan slots you'll have to purchase more fans. So you only put in the fans you need to get the cooling you want and to keep noise level balanced. The included fans are very quiet but they don't move allot of air.

Now my CM690 is very load but thats only because i've got 4 Yateloon fans in there rated for 88CFM.So they produce a heck of allot of noise. That and i have a load CPU cooler too. Otherwise everything else in pretty quiet.

I've had both the 182 & the 690. Personally, I prefer the 690.
I had the 690 loaded down with fans in ever available area & (using a fan controller) it wasn't that much noisier than the 182.
I think, personally, that the 182 is overrated.

Just to add to what i mentioned earlier, and this is just my preference but i really don't like case doors.

I think I learned the uselessness of case doors after I owned a Raidmax X-1 for a month or two. First, I couldn't open the door while it was on carpet (so I ran it on a piece of wood). I couldn't move the case without fearing that my door might come off (lots of trips back and forth from campus). I couldn't run the computer with the door closed because it wouldn't get enough airflow and would make my hard drives run a good 50C idle. I got rid of that damned door and later on that case and will never shop for a case with a door ever again.
