Hey all,

I'm considering an Antec P182 with a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750. I've read the cables on the PSU are a bit short...can someone with this setup tell me if they were able to route the power connectors up through the back of the case as designed?

Thanks!

Can I suggest a different PSU then the PCP&C ? There are similarly priced and cheaper PSU's, that offer the same performance and make less noise while doing so.

Like this one for example: http://microcenter.com/single_...tml?product_id=0265149 Corsair 750tx also comes to mind for 115$.

If you want modular, look for the SILVERSTONE ST75 for example. All these PSU's should be just fine with a p182.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I'm mostly concerned about power ripples and dipping out on an OC'd rig I'm building, so I'll see how they tested out by comparison. :)

I built a computer with a S610EPS into a P182 just fine. I can't imagine PCP&C would use drastically different cable lengths.

Thanks for the info. :)

You were able to route the cable up behind the mobo tray and into the board connector without any problems? How was the fit within the PSU cage on the case?

I appreciate it.

marc you just jumped tiers on that psu choice. lol...

he went from tier1 to tier2.

and right now you can pick those guys up for around 149,99 :T

If you want stable power, the antec quattro had the lowest ripples and noise. But i heard if you dont put enough voltage on it, it doesnt behave right.

you can check it out at jonnyguru.com or ask him directly on our forum. He's a mod in power supplies here.

All those PSU's are excellent PSU's, the PCP&C is server grade making it a wee bit better. But even TIER 3 psu's from jonny's list will be just fine. Qauttro is nice as well btw, it used to go for 150$, AR, but no longer I see now.
