P180b's lower chamber fan

my psu (ULTRA X-Finity) is kinda long. i had to take out the lower chamber fan to get it to fit and am having a hard time getting it back in. So my question is, do i really need to put it back in? I do have one hard drive in the lower chamber and my psu has its own "dual 80mm fans". So, whaddaya think?

EDIT: i had to just push that lil fan in real good. now im just worried the cables will explode from the pressure or get shredded by the fans blades

your worried about the psu cables getting shredded? that fan shouldnt be strong enough cut through those cables. How were you able to remove the fan. I applied quiet a bit of pressure and couuldnt get it to pop out. Any tricks to get it out?

ok so on the left side, there are two locks on the top and bottom. you have to press each one until it snaps out. im not talking about the four little tabs, two on each side. the locks are the skinny little bars on the left side only. just push it real hard and it should come right off.
