P180B motherboard studs--unremovable?

About to put my P5B vanilla into my P180B and I noticed that the 9 motherboard studs on the back plate are a part of the backplate itself.. wtf? Wouldn't it be bad for the board to touch one of these studs where there isn't a screw hole? Wouldn't that leave the board vulneralbe to static shock?
 
Nevermind, the right edge of the board just falls short of the rightmost studs, though I don't like that since that whole side of the board is kind of hanging off and I'll end up bending the PCB when i push connectors in it.
 
Looks like Antec made some assumptions they shouldn't have. Looks like they didn't put enough holes in there to handle some unusual mobos. Most mobo pans have a plethora of standoff holes for almost any potentiality. IAC, get a handful of the old plastic standoffs and trim them to provide support where your case lacks it. If you have a Mom & Pop computer shop in your town that's been there a good while, it should have a junk box full of those things - get 'em cheap or free. I use them all the time for extra support.

Gotta say...

I think I would be looking for a modern case -- not free plastic stand-offs in a 'Mom & Pop computer shop', whatever that is -- but that's just me! 😉
