P180 with Seasonic PSU

I know people are asking this left and right. I am getting a Seasonic S12 500 Watt PSU, and an Antec P180. THe M/B that will be used is a DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra -D. Will the ATX cable reach or will i run into problems?

Well i posted in SilentPCReview as well. One guy is using the 500 Watt PSU with the Asus board. He said his reaches but his 4 pin connector barely does, to make it nicer he feeds it under his video card.

So, i ordered P180 and Seasonic 500 Watt PSU; if it, for some reason doesn't work (Ill test without a M/B and see how far it reaches) ill definitely post back and let you know.

hey, thanks for replying, i have definately been looking at that seasonic, but i may try to get a thermaltake fanless too, but i am assuming most of the psu wires are about the same. good luck, hopefully you dont have to get extensions

I have a s12 600, P180 and evga sli mobo. My four pin connector didn't fit, so I had to get an extension for that. I didn't try to snake it under the video cards though. The 24 pin fits, but its tight. Especially since I have an SLI setup.

I would just pick up the phone as ask the company how long there cables are.....
I know many people who have called seasonic,PCP&C...Antec etc...to ask...

FYI the industry norm on top of the like PSu`s such as Seasonic and PCP&C as welll as other brand is 18-19 inches!!

Also I understand most companys will custon do your cables if you send them the measurements and such....just a thought..

The 4 pin processor wire IS getting on the short end (I use an Antec SmartPower 2.0 500W modular) but not at all tight, there is a good amount of slack.Just find a way to fee it around the videocard, you'll be fine....

If not that, it is easy to redo your PSU cables.

I have a P180, SeaSonic S-12 600 and an Asus P5WD2. I ran my four pin under the graphics card towards the rear of the case and it worked out fine. It actually looks pretty clean because there's not a lot of slack. If you get an extension for it, I'd suggest running the cable under the motherboard to the top. I saw a very pretty set up that did it that way. Not a prayer to do it with the SeaSonic without extenstions though. I had no problems at all getting the 24 pin to reach. It takes a while to untangle all the cables on the S-12. If you're not careful you'll lose a lot of length just in the tangle coming out of the PSU.
