Any one has an idea about how these cases compare with one another?

I intend to get either of these. I will be returning the PS that comes with the Tx10XX and getting a TP2 550 instead.

Now, is there a significant difference between the P180 and the 1088 to warrant the additional cost I will be paying for the 180?

everyone here has a hardon for the p180. It has a few key benefits over the TX series: compartmented PSU keeps case cooler, 120mm intake, and an 120mm top exhaust make it a cooler case. The benefit the TX series has is that they are probably the only cases that come with PSUs worth keeping, but if your going to swap the PSU out anyways, there is no reason not to get the p180.
Your decision is whether its worth an extra 100$ to get a lower temp case with 70 more watts.
