P180 Power Supply

Topic pretty much says it. I have my P180, now just looking for a PSU. I'm asking what people are actually using becasue the lengths are important in this case.

I would like one with 2 6-pin PCI-E connectors, and modular, but neither of those are going to keep me from looking. SO, lay it on me.

I'm using a OCZ GameXStream 700W. It's not modular but it does have the 2 PCI-E connectors. The 600W has the same features AFAIK.

I'm using a PC Power & Cooling 850w (bought for a different case) I thought was too big. But I was able to force it to fit the P180 and I'm pleased.

enermax liberty series. my friend put his 500W version in his p180 and it works fine.

has 2x6 pin connectors also and its modular!

i've got a seasonic S-12, the first version with shorter cables. i just use a set of extension cables that i picked up from the internet. i think silverstone marketed them. they actually come in handy as they can be installed when the board is out of the case (which gets cramped with a big tower heat sink).

i don't use that little power supply bracket thing included with the case. didn't quite fit.

Corsair 520W - modular, two PCI-e leads, and enough cable length to reach the power supply connector by the DIMM slots. Even can reach the 4-pin aux power connector by the I/O shield, but you've got to route the cable over the vid cards. The case is quick thick, so this isn't a problem.

it took some physical force to get it to fit. i scratched the ps a bit, but i got it in there.

I used an OCZ GameXStream 600 and it's doing just fine and I run a 8800GTX card, and two HDs, a higher end sound card (if that makes a diff) and a PCI 9-pin serial card (if that makes a diff) along with the norms, but I don't have a floppy and I haven't bothered to OC yet.

The cables are wrapped in webbing so you don't have a nest of wires to deal with.

The cables are nice and long, a real benefit for tucking them out of the way for airflow.

There is the idea of the blue light on the PSU that is pretty much a un-used feature/aesthetic since the case has no transparent panes.

I tried to make the cable I used for the lower fan stretch to the two fans in the upper bay, but couldn't make that work w/o putting a great deal of tension on the cable. So I had to use two cables for the three standard case fans.

I'm using a PCP&C 750 Silencer Quad it has 2x 6pin and 2x 8pin PCI-E conectors, I had to take out the middle fan in the bottom as its longer than a usual powersupply but otherwise it works great. (I moved that fan up to the HDD bracket to cool the system drive and help cool the viedo card)

OCZ Powerstream 520. Tight fit, but I can still fit all the cables through the first hole, and use the bottom chamber fan.
