P180 or TT Tsunami

I was going to get a TT Tsunami but stumbled upon the Antec P180, not only does it look beautiful but it looks like it'll perform nice. Can I get some first hand feedback on either case? I would LOVE to get the P180 SPCR Black case. Perhaps someone with a similiar setup fill me in on how installation went and their temps. Will my OCZ 520w's cables have enough room to plug into my DFI NF4 Ultra D?

Also, I will most likely be using the Zalman 9500 in this, will that setup provide nice cooling? (direct exhuast to rear fans)

My friend said he had problems with installing on it, and that temps were actually 3C higher than on his Soprano

I have both. The "resonator" (Tsunami) is a good aluminum case with great airflow. Plenty big, very light, good fan placement, nice front door. If you have a raptor though BEWARE. The p180 on the other hand is a much more conservative case, but IMO (besides looks to some folks) is by far a superior case. So quiet, incredible cooling potential NOT at the cost of silence, and did I say quiet? I love the looks of it, but some think it is boring. I also had a Powerstream 520 (I use a pcp&c 425 deluxe) and rigged it in the p180 to see if I could get away with no fan in the bottem chamber. Did not happen. The cables are IMO not long enough for the p180, but only because I like hidden cables. The 520 powerstream works, you just have cables running everywhere (not able to hide behind mobo). I recommend the p180 hands down.

I know this sounds picky but......good case fan management along with top quality CPU cooler and fans will negate the issues with temps from case to case!!

Along with proper fan placemet!!

Thank you all for your input, especially you JBDan!

The case has 4x120mm fans correct? What cooling setup do you recommend? I would like to get panaflo's, noise isn't really that much of a problem, I want this case for its performance, looks, good name and quality mainly, silence is just a plus (although it is in my room, so if I can have performance and silence that would be prime). As long as the fans are like 40dba I'll be find haha

Edit:
SPCR P180
Now I got decide between this custom black P180 or the Silver one, and then fans to go inside it :)

The cheapest P180 is around 120, the black one will be ~170+, I don't know if the price justifies the color. My drives are black and the front bezel is black either way so it'll still match, and all my other items are silver/black

If ya got the beans and its what ya want go with the black. I thought I would want the black one as well, but am very happy with the silver.
It has 2@120mmx25mm's and 1@120mmx38mm. The fans are rated as follows:
120mmx25mm=LOW>1200rpm-25dba-39cfm
MED>1600rpm-28dba-56cfm
HI >2000rpm-30dba-79cfm
120mmx38mm=LOW> 900rpm-17dba-36cfm
MED>1200rpm-23dba-48cfm
HI >1500rpm-28dba-60cfm
Here is a link to what I came up with after 2 days of tinkering with the noise/rpm/temp/cfm fan configurations.-->http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=37&threadid=1673457&enterthread=y
I have updatted that configuration with the small change I did to my rear 120mm Tricool. I set the switch to MED and 7-volted it. Very simple. Made it run around 1000 rpm instead of the rated 1200 on LOW. This got me the silence I am obsessed with lol. Here is the link to undervolting fans if you are interested.-->http://silentpcreview.com/article6-page1.html
G-Luck and enjoy!

Oh wow, I could run all the fans at 30dba and be fine!

Does anyone recommend third party cooling or are the fans that come with this enough? =0

FYI..I emailed OCZ and you add an extension to the 12v 4 pin lead on a nocz with no performance loss...

depending on your mobo and location of the 12v 4 pin and atx...you can hide you cables well

for my DFI SLI-DR....the extra 4pin molex/floppy connector on the mobo prevents clean cables...my atx and 12v 4 pin are well hidden

the OCZ 520w powerstream is long and placement of the lower chamber 120mm fan is a problem...I had to remove this fan...

personally I think the lower fan is problem for all psu cables......I wish they would have put a front lower intake fan instead

The lower 120mm works well with almost all psu's (even with the powerstream 520 it worked for me...just was close to the fan and created more noise/turbulence) especially if you exchange the supplied 120x38 for a 120x25. Thats what I did and use a PCP&C 425 Deluxe. There is ample room in the bottem chamber with atx psu's...no problems at all. There is someone here who modded his p180 to allow the placement of a front mounted 120x25 in the bottem chamber, but I think that defeats the purpose of this case's "silence factor." Hopefully I will get a digital camera soon and be able to post some pic's.

Missed my point..I know the OCZ PSU fits..I have mine i nthere but the cables are pretty stiff and to use the lower chamber fan can be a big hassle
I would have preferred an option to place a fan in front of HDD cage in the lower chamber

Point not missed. Guess you didn't read it all. You can put a 120mm in front bottem w/ some modding if your into that so that "option" does exist. ;)

I would like to see some information on this mod, I wouldn't mind trying it out ;)

I will most likely be ordering it tomorow ;)

Once I get to see the case I will evaluate if I can mod it without raping its sheer beauty (one thing I didn't do with my current case =0 ;) )

I will NOT do any external or permanent mods, except taking the fan grills out
