P180 front audio jack issue

I've done several searches looking for others with this problem but nothing so here it is...

I plug my headphones into the front audio jack on the P180 and I hear like little noises in the background.

Sometimes ticking other times just distant white noise. It's drowned out pretty good when other sound are going but it's still around.

I moved the cable that goes to the motherboard around so it avoids power and what not but it still exist.

Anybody else have this issue?

yes, I had this issue as well. I was never able to remedy it but I switched to an X-fi anyways.

Sorry I couldn't be of help, just telling you that you aren't alone on this.

yeah i don't use the front audio ports when i have an Audigy 2 in my system. i either use headphones with those two jacks or USB ones.

i'll have to try it out and see if i come across the same problem.

Got my ZM-MIC1 today so now I am all set.
