P180 cooling the lower drive cage

Hey guys -- do any of you with a P180 have all 4 drive slots in the lower drive cage filled? If so, how are the temps there?

I was curious if the lower chamber fan would draw enough air through there to keep them cool enough, especially with the dust filters installed... I'm considering dropping 4 of the Seagate 7200.10 320GBs in there for a RAID 5, and some of the reports are that these things get too hot next to each other without some airflow. Dunno if having them sit vertically also helps with the heat...

Thanks,

Jeff

What about the stock fan b/t the HD cage and the PSU? 😕 That would do a great job of pulling air in front the front of the case.

Even with all four slot filled in the HD cage, there's about 1/2" of clearance b/t drives; more than enough for good airflow.

That's really what I want to know -- if the lower chamber fan does a good job pulling air through there on something other than the high setting...
