This case is awesome, but I put my mobo in and my pci cards wont sit flush on the rail that screw to! They are a 1/8 inch away, if I push them down it puts a lot of presure on the mobo. Are the standoffs that came installed in case too tall?

Sorry ment p180!

Thanx chris!

Yes I have the same problem. Seems antec missed that little detail. My epox 9npa+ has the same problem. I cant screw in my sound card. So its just sitting in there unscrewed. This case definitely has its flaws, but overall, minior compared to how good it is. So I dunno what to tell you, find a zip tie or something to string through the hole and hold the pci card somehow? There is no fix so... Trust me, ive already tried to get the screw in. heh.

This is like building a car and forgetting the steering wheel, that sucks. I looked at about 100 reviews and never once heard of this!

Quick fix //
Measure the gap between the card and screw down point, go to a hardware store, and find washers thick enough to fill the gap. (may need 2-4 of them), also find elongated screw with same thread patern and you'll be good. Anoying, but this way it keeps the card secure. When purchasing washers should you do it this way, make sure that they are VERY small in diameter with enough of a hole for the screw to go through. If you get washers that are to wide it will bump up against the card and case and thats no good.

Thanx for the info, already found a washer for it, just a pain after spending so much money. I guess I can live with the door not closing tight but this blows!

Yeah that sucks man, no other way to say it. My P160 didn't have any prblems like this, and this is honestly the first I've heard of a P180 doing this. You must just be "Lucky"

Nah my pcie video card went in and screwed in fine. Its just the normal pci slots that have issues for some reason. At least for me anyways.

Has anybody contacted Antec regarding this problem? I'm curious to know what their reply is concerning this problem. Are they going to replace the defective parts or are they going to send you fix-it kits.. hmmm Curious.

I had the opposite problem with my P150. The case wouldnt allow my cards to be plugged in all the way. I had to bend the PCI slot cover.

The audigy 2 i have works just fine in the dfi nf4 ultra d that i have in my p180, no issues like that at all.

Add a Sonata II to the mix, my x800 vid card won't line up either. If you push out a little to line up the hole the card unseats.

I have contacted antec, they have givin no awnser to the problem yet. I sent the tech a link to this thread, and pics. They seem very helpful so far!

I love the case, it actually has everything I wanted in a case (except the clear side panel.) That said, this card rail issue is a real problem for me.

That's minor? For what that case costs, there is no way you should have to put up with that.

I think all PCI cards should come on purple PCB's...that's so sexy. 😉

Washers work out for you?

I'm wondering if it might have something to do with different standoffs. Most are standard size, but some are longer than others.

Did you use the ones that came with the case, or different ones you already had?

Edit: sorry, just re-read your post.

One way to find out with the standoffs...take out the motherboard and measure them.

Edit2: just read your second post LOL...standoffs don't come out? That's strange...and probably the source of the problem. That really sucks. When companies try to make things easier for the average moron they usually end up screwing things up for those of us that (usually) know what we're doing.

I took a few pics to fully explain my issue:

Pic 1 - shows the mis-alignment (see the red arrow)

Pic 2 - taken with a flash, washes it out a bit but also shows the misalignment

Pic 3 - a close-up, shows the misalignment and what I noticed when I took the pics, what looks like a bow outward on the panel.
