so I'm really not positive what the temps are suppose to be at all.. or all the info you need.

but my case is the p180 antec, with 3 fans.. and I have an asus P5LD2

if you need to know any other specs let me know what and I'll tell you.

my friend told me to download motherboard monitor, but when I was setting it up I couldn't find my motherboard model (P5LD2) under asus.

but I checked in bios and my temps were..

CPU: 70c / 158f | mb: 50c / 122f

I'm guessing you have a Prescott core P4. If so, that's probably OK for that chip as they run hot as hell. If you have any other processor, it's probably way too hot.

Either way I would suggest getting a better HSF.

Yeah you know, it helps if you list all your specs so we dont have to read your mind.....

My mobo runs at about 35-38C with this case.

I run an AMD 3000 venice @ 2.5ghz though with the stock cooler. Which is about 32C idle and 41C load. However a venice is vastly different than an intel chip in terms of temps so...

Strange you say you got 3 fans. I only have the front fan in my p180 to pull air in, and I put the antec 120x38mm fan on the back to blow air out. I covered the top hole to help make more of a "wind tunnel". I also covered up other vents to help do so. Your cpu probably creates alot of heat though.

Also your video card(depending on which one it is) can help create a bit of heat as well.

antec p180
asus P5LD2
pentium d 940 3.20ghz
2gb of ram
nvidia geforce 6600
250 + 80gb hdd

I have the fan that's in front of the power supply on the bottom, then there's two towards the top of the case

like this

I'm not positive but I think have all the fan switches are on L .. maybe I should move them up to M or H ?

I'd think about sticking one or both of the exhaust fans on medium. See if that drops your temperatures at all. I find that setting the rear exhaust to medium doesn't make much difference to the noise level.

I took it out of my computer desk spot where I had it.. cause there was something covering one of the top fans.. also, I don't have any intake fans.. so I guess I'll buy both of them, one for front of the hdd's, and one in front of the psu.

for right now I have the side case off and sitting out.

CPU: 48-52c
MB: 39c

so that's not as bad.

to me, that's too hot to run the CPU. course air flow, fans and ambient room temperature are also things to consider when discussing your temps.

I'm running an AMD 64 3200+ with that same case and I can tell you it runs pretty hot. I'm not sure if its the case thats moving more air, or what, but with that p180 after a couple hours of playing WoW next to it I start to sweat. I didnt feel so much heat from my old cheapo ebay case.

the p180 sucks for airflow

Moving from water to air..has taught me this

with the door closed in the front air intake is poor at best

I also have a 120mm over chipset/PWMIC

one 120mm intake, 2 x 120mm in rear as exhaust....I did find the top exhaust fan as intake fan helps in some situations to lower temps
