P150 PCI Slot Problem

One of the first problems of the P150 (other than the PSU) discussed by a few users on this board, including me, was the mounting of PCI cards in the slots. I can't find the main thread with pictures, but it was a real problem. When you mounted a PCI card, the bracket wouldn't match up exactly...it was about 3mm above the screw hole, and about the same amount to the side.

I just mounted a new X-fi, and I really wanted to mount in in the slot I was having problems with. Same thing, the screw hole just would not line up. In a moment of frustration I yelled "WHY WON'T YOU FIT!" and pushed it in really hard.

And it settled in perfectly.

Seems there's a tight (almost locking, but not quite) fit where the bottom of the PCI bracket mates with the case, and sometimes you have to give it a little extra push.

I feel like an idiot sometimes, but at least I know I wasn't the only one.

Hope this helps anyone that stumbled upon the same issue.

Yea I had posted about this problem, I just use washers, this is a problem not onle with my p180 but also with a no name case I have.

I took a gander at them and the groove in the card is touching the bridge in the slot so no pushing any more.🙁
