P1130 problem. Is it dying?

Just yesterday, I started seeing some translucency in my monitor.

For ex. The mouse would have a shadow, only that in windows, I have shadows turned off. But it's not a shadow, it's a translucent image of the mouse shifted to the right a bit. That happens with all things on the screen. What could it be?

It's not that noticeable, but when you're up close you can notice it. I'll try to reproduce it with paint.

It looks like this only that the gray is lighter.

try moving away sources of possible noise and also change the cable to teh monitor

Nothing around it making noise, gonna try another cable, but have to order one.

just got another cable. dman, it didn't fix it. I'll try another video card.

Oh and does a cable modem considered a device that gives off interference?

my old p992 (believe thats the number) had simliar issues, then it started making a high pitched whine at random. A few months later I turned it on one morning to find about 25 white lines throughout the screen.

Hope yours isn't dying but mine sure did.

I'll safely assume that it is. It is a refurbished monitor anyway. Lasted me about 2 years. Oh well. Time to move on.
