I was looking at newegg and people have told me that timings the X-X-X-X numbers were important but now im looking at pc 4000 instead of pc 3200 but they have higher timings, what does this mean? will the pc4000 be faster than the pc3200 even though its timings are greater??

thanks

Hi,

PC3200 is DDR400 PC4000 is DDR500, basically it means the RAM is stable and tested to those speeds.

The DDR500 will normally have looser timing than the DDR400, however that means that generally the DDR500 will OC to higher speeds..
