my laptop Sony Vaio T350P laptop
specs:
10.6in screen
P-M 1.2ghz, 90nm, 0.940v
512ram
60gb hdd

just installed speedfan to see if i can check some temps and it looks like i'm idling at 56C
while running f@h on the laptop i get 64C @ 100% usage
is this normal? is there something i can do to cool it down?

room temp=70F constant

Thats about normal, i have a Tecra 9100 that has a Pentium M 1.2GHz in it and it runs about the same under load, as long as its not shutting down on you, its not out of the ordinary. The idea behind a Mobil proc is power consumpion aspects. Its designed to use less power, and if it can withstand higher temps, it needs less cooling, which means less fan run time, and less power consumption.
