P-4 base plate

Today I went to install my new Abit sd7-533 and inte p-4 1.8A chip. something did not seem right when I got to the intel cpu cooling fan that came with it, it had no base plate that goes into the four holes on the mb. Should this plate came with either the MB or intel boxed cpu? Okay second question I ordered Kingmax 256mb pc2700 333mhz ddr cl2.5 but on each chip it reads Kingman kdl684t4a2a -05 does this seem right??

If a base plate is needed, it would have come with your mobo. READ your mobo's manual, it will detail how to mount your HSF and mobo.

I called Ajump where I bought it and they said one did not come with it, hard to beleive isn't it.
