My klipsch 5.1's have developed a rather.. odd habbit. If music is playing, and I click on something [That makes the computer think even a little bit] the song continues to play but it makes one heck of an annoying sound at the time of the click.

Am I just running too much and its [the computer] having a hard time?

Ah.. confusion.

you tried a virus scan? this problem is usually caused by abnormally high CPU load, and because you are (i assume) using onboard sound which uses CPU cycles, the sound cannot be processed

I had a similar problem with my machine as well. Whenever I clicked on something and it had to access the hard drive, it would make this weird noise. Turns out it was (i think) an irq problem. To check what all irqs you use...

Start>run type msinfo32

Ran a virus scan, spybot, ad aware -- removed a few viruses and a bunch of spyware - All is working at the moment 🙂
