Trying to determine whether or not i should go to the er now. blood all over the kitchen. new knives cutting some green onions. all by myself and dont want to bleed in my car.

so i'm posting on atot with my left hand :(

ive compressed and elevated. bleeding has stopped intil i take the towel off my hand. i need stitches goddamit. it doesnt hurt but it is way too deep. btw, its hard getting dressed with one hand.

fvck. i dont want to have to pay for this.

Use superglue. Seriously...hold the two sides of the cut together, glue them, and the blood will begin clotting almost immediately.

would do that but its a fairly long cut as well. from the side of my fingernail around the bottom and then to the other side. hope i'm back in time for work tomorrow. lol

Sounds like you should get that one looked at. A functional thumb is pretty much our only advantage over the lower animals.

Well I'm back.... I'm going to live. :) Thanks for all the good thoughts from the well wishers. To the others, well what the hell else was I going to do but post on ATOT while holding my arm up hoping it would stop bleeding? lol

I thought just thought for sure I was going to be up there all night long. Less than two hours isn't bad.

Oh - 4 stitches. They said it was a good thing I came in because of how deep the cut was and where it was located on my thumb. It's fun typing when you can't feel your thumb.

Unfortunately, I now need to clean my kitchen because it looks like somebody was murdered in there. :laugh:

About 30 minutes ago I just randomly felt this sharp pain on the side of my left hand. Turns out I have a gaping cut probably about 2.5 inches long all along the side of my hand... I have absolutely no idea how I did it and why it just started to randomly hurt while I was sitting here and not, ya know, when I cut my hand.

I don't have any band-aids or anything either. Bahh...

Not going to take pics of my kitchen. Will get a couple of pics up of my thumb tomorrow though! :)

The best part about the whole thing is I get to take the stitches out in a week. I haven't done that in years so that'll be fun. :D
