So far this hasn't gone well. The following are findings.

1. tried to clone the drive using CCC with the drive in a Voyager Q.

unmounted from the OS all the time.

2. then put the drive in a cheap rocketfish USB enclosure and seemed to clone ok at least according to CCC

3. this morning I installed the drive into i7 macbook pro and it wouldn't boot.

4. nor could I get past the language screen on the SD card or the install OS dvd. It wouldn't let me click the right arrow button.

5. Try to partition the drive in the voyager q and it fails each and every time

6/5/10 1:39:52 PM diskarbitrationd[12] unable to repair /dev/disk1s2 (status code 0x00000008).
....

6/5/10 1:39:53 PM kernel disk1s2: media is not present.

put back the X-25M 160 into my machine and it boot up in a flash.

6. The drive partitions ok once it's put back in the Rocketfish USB enclosure.

I'm getting a new drive sent but if there's anything wrong I'll be abandoning OWC for my SSD choices.

I've never had any trouble with my Intel SSDs.
