Overwritting HDD with 0 and 1

I have heard of buisness using programs to overwrite used HDD hundreds of times so that no infomation can be recovered. Does anybody know where i can get a copy of this software? Or that would be willing to email me? I believe it should fit on a floppy disk so it can be booted... thanks for all of your help!

Agreed. But anyways, DBAN will do what you want. Just don't forget to put coathangers on the roof and wrap yourself in tinfoil. 😉

I only rap my head in tip foil thank you!! But actually I do all my accounting/bills/CC purchases on that HDD and I really dont want anybody to get it...

Search for Autoclave. AFAIK it's IDE only but the last time i downloaded was a year or more ago so that may have changed.
