Overview of OCing my system

Ok, so I originally had my Vcore up to 1.59 to run at 10x240, but I was able to lower that down to about 1.55 and still be stable at 240. I'm currently running fine at said 10x240 with my RAM at 2-2-2-7 running 200mhz (5:6 divider), with a stable 8 hours on Prime 95.

I think I'm still running 2T though, should I change this over right away? If 1T fails, is there anything I can do to make it work, like loosening timings, putting on a lower divider or upping voltage? If that's the case, is it worth it to loosen timings and go to 1t, or to hit ideal timings and stay at 2T? I'm running 2x512 of OCZ ValueVX at 3v.

I'm thinking I can probably go higher, given my positive results so far, but I'm slightly worried about temps. According to speedfan, I idle around 38C for CPU, but it jumps up to 44-48C during load with stock cooling. Lowering Vcore from 1.59-1.55 didn't actually drop this all that much. I'm happy with that for now, but It'd be a shame if I could hit 2.5+, but was limited only by temps. I've got solid airflow in my case, with 2 80mm intake fans up front and an 80mm exhausting at the back under my PSU which has a 120mm that's also exhausting.

My main question is that even if I hit 50C during load, is that acceptable if my idle temps are 40C or below? Do I have such a huge jump from idle to load (10+ degrees sometimes) because I'm OCing, or what? Is it the act of pumping more volts into your CPU that raises temps most, or the act of actually OCing it? Can I expect a big temp jump if I stay at 1.55vcore, but manage to go to 250x10?

Also, does anyone know why my Cool 'N Quiet option gets grayed out when I turn on the CPU multiplier option in my Bios? Even when it's not grayed out, all I have is the "disable" and "auto" options, which is kinda odd.

Ok, kinda random post with some questions thrown in.. just wondering how my experience compares to others, as I know I've seen alot of people with lower temps. Should I be happy where I am at 240, or try to push it up a bit more? Thanks all.
