Overseas data plan for unlocked phones?

Hi all,
I've been searching google and calling numerous overseas sim card companies in hopes of finding information on this, but so far I haven't been able to find anything of use.

My boss has a Treo 650 (just came in today.. I want one) that she wants to bring to Israel with her and be able to access her email through it. We're a relatively small office, so we have no corporate resources (i.e. blackberry server, etc.)-- I was wondering if anyone has had experience setting up data plans from overseas carriers so that email will be accessible. The Treo is set up with cingular right now, but since their overseas roaming is ridiculously expensive the phone will be unlocked.

If anyone has any information or resources that would be helpful I would really appreciate it; thanks in advance!

Maybe a public internet cafe would be the cheapest (although a bit unconfortable) solution. I doubt that an Israeli mobile phone provider would grant cheap access just for some weeks, sorry.
