Hi I was wondering if I will have a overscan issure if I run a nvidia 6800gs with a syntax 32 lcd. I was thinking about getting the x1600 whenever it decides to come out since they say it eliminates overscan. but I think the 6800gs will be a better deal
thanks

On an LCD panel like that, I'd imagine you should be able to do 1:1 pixel mapping. I've used an LCD rear projection before and it still had really bad overscan, for some reason. In any case, the Nvidia drivers are really good about compensating for overscan if it's an issue (by placing a smaller image in the 720p, for example).

You'll have to wait for someone with direct experience with that LCD to chime in. I do not know for sure that you can do 1:1 pixel mapping on it. Also, ask yourself whether 1280x720 will be a high enough resolution (especially if you're already using 1280x1024).

thats a good question about resolution, that might kill me in games, I think the sacrifise in size might be worth it though
