I currently run a Radeon HD 2400 in an HTPC, and upon reinstall of Windows Server 2008 (Vista) Catalyst 10.3 began crashing literally left and right, every single time I opened, closed, or otherwise interacted with an application. That is not an exaggeration. To make things worse, it didn't just crash, recover, and be done with it - it crashed continuously, with my TV constantly showing the Windows desktop for a split second then going black again for ten seconds, looping this crash fifteen or twenty times. After the whole deal was over, horizontal white lines appeared on my TV and wouldn't go away until a reboot.
I read that CCC was the cause of these problems, and re-installed 10.3 with the driver only and not Catalyst. The crashes seem to be gone, but the one feature of CCC I needed is now inaccessible - I used overscan to make the graphics card output fit my screen. Is there any way to set overscan without using CCC?
