What cable are you using?

It should work fine with DVI running at 1920x1200... LCD monitors don't overscan pc inputs. Try some sort of "Auto Adjust" feature on your monitor.

I just noticed it does not have a DVI cable :S.

That is very odd thing for a monitor to not have DVI. Were you using "resize HDTV desktop" option? It seems there are strong issues with that option for the 8 series

If you read the comments for the monitor, they mention this issue. One mentioned a some sort of solution regarding the monitor .inf file.

That monitor is 16:10 native (1920x1200).

1080p is 16:9.

When you say "" I am using an hdmi to dvi cable "" you may have a problem because Viewsonic in bold letters sez ""True 1080p with HDMI""

Whether that would be a 'letterbox' in the 16:10 native resolution I do not know.

Best shot would seem to be what vhx recommended - if it will work.

You may be forced to join The Dark Side for the ATI Radeon DVI to HDMI adapter

(Oh! The Horror!)

:p

I will try all of your answers. I havnt tried it myself yet but do you think overscan will be an issue with 2 of those viewsonic monitors? In a dual monitor setup?
