I was running some tests on my sli vid cards and noticed some artifacts. I then went to check my vid card temps and they were 78 and 75. It seems that the artifacts show up when it hits around 79 or 80 degrees. What is strange though is that the protection for the card doesn't take effect until 115 degrees C is reached and I cannot change it.

Are those normal temps under load? Should I be experiencing artifacts at 80 degrees?

FYI, my normal vid card temp (just in windows) is around 54.

PS, Sorry, I meant to put this in video section. If a mod could please move it I would appreciate it.

Your temps seem normal, its the same as Anands review.
You could reapply AS5 but I'm sure some sort of good compound was used. I'd just rma it and get a better brand.

Does anyone know what is the limit to temp (where I should be concerened)? Can it really go to 115 C and not have any issues?
