Overheating system

I recently installed a 2400+ onto my mobo, which had a 1ghz duron in it previously. I also have a 9800pro, a few HD's. 2 CD-Roms, and very poor airflow 😛 ... yesterday, after an intensive sessoion of KOTOR, my computer just turned off, I think from overheating. I played kotor earlier, with my case open, but this time it was closed.

-Did I fry my mobo, processor? Now when I start the computer, I dont hear the beap that the system is ok, and I dont get any video(btw, I have a vga cooler on my vid card). I tried clearing the CMOS, but nothing...

-Has anyone had a similar problem?

thanks for the help

Also, I have another question... I bought the Thermaltake Hardcano 9, and I was trying to hook my processor fan up to it, but I couldn't get it to work at all... This isn't related to the above question, cause I did this a few days back and gave up. Does anyone have this fan controller and what exactly do I need to do? I thought I followed the directions...

there you go, your motherboard is dead , so go buy another one and , buy a couple of more fans i have 12 in my rig and it's not too loud , but it get the job done.
