I just installed my new BBA Radeon 9600XT on Sunday, I used Catalyst 4.5 and everything went perfectly. However, today I was looking through the ATI control panel tabs and noticed that the OverDrive tab had disappeared. I know it was there on Sunday, I had enabled OverDrive...

So, how should I go about restoring the tab so I can monitor VPU temp.? I'm working on finding my max. overclock and I'd like to keep track of the temp. of the chip if I can. Thanks for any guidance.

Well, I figured it out on my own. Turning off the ATI Hotkey Poller service takes away the OverDrive tab. Restarting the ATI Hotkey Poller service returns the tab.

Is this a bug or did ATI intend it to be like that?

Sounds intentional, like they want to know how many people are OCing their cards...

...or it's somehow dependent on the hotkey service. Jeez...

Why should OverDrive be dependent on the Hotkey Poller servcie? As far as I can tell they are fairly unrelated. And I did search this forum for similar issues and no one else had reported it. Maybe this is an issue with the newest Catalyst release?
