Sounds like you do. Kuru would not be a danger in lab-grown flesh.
Maybe, maybe not. The general problem is that any bacteria, virus, or prion in the meat is perfectly compatible with the consumer. Considering how many recalls of food with bad bacteria I've seen lately, I don't trust the lab to keep the meat safe for human consumption.

as long as it's delicious, nobody really cares where their meat comes from

see, this is exactly the sort of attitude you have to be careful of

you use lab-grown humeat to 'overcome' the taboo, then there's always nutsos who aren't satisfied with 'lab-grown' 'artificial' humeat

thus you start the market for artisinal all-natural free-range humeat

Kuro is only in brains, sweet, delicious BRAINS!! As long as you stick to regular flesh like thighs, ribs, rump roasts, maybe a nice breast, you're fine. Am I the only person who's already prepared for cannibalism? It's like the rest of you have never even planned to eat one of your neighbors! It's not just a Twilight Zone trope people, "To Serve Man" is a real cookbook.

I'd eat lab-grown human meat if it tasted good. If it tastes bad, why even bother? Meat is meat.
