HI guys,

its been difficult for me understand why my GPU is not OCing, then upon i dont find any options in bios to OC it.??

they are running at stock speed and have given no control on OCing them. but the weird thing is that the temps are too high once i get into gaming mode.. :(

The temp lies some where around 50 to 60 deg!!!

is this the fault of hardware or do i have a card which cannot be over clocked if so then why is the temps so high??

thanks in advance...

Hey there,

Firstly this belongs in the video forum but anyways...

To overclock GPU's, you don't need to be in the BIOS. In fact, as far as I know you can't OC any GPU's from the BIOS. With NVidia's cards, you need a program called CoolBits. It's just a simple registry entry that "unlocks" the ability to overclock the Nvidia card. Once you install that, you can go to your video card's control panel and you'll see some clock settings in there you can play with. That should get you started.

I don't know what temps are acceptable for your particular card, but my card, but keep an eye on things if you overclock it. If its getting more than 5-10 degrees warmer, I'd do some research to see what ranges your card likes. In fact, you might want to do that anyway before you start messing with stuff.

You do not O/C the video card from the bios you use apps. Rivatuner is a good one to use
