I've been reading the threads posted in this forum and overclocking seems to be the buzz word. Now, I know this sounds dumb but how is it possible to overclock a graphics card? I've heard of overclocking a cpu, which is not too complicated....but graphics card is something else.

It easy they have programs out there like riva tuner etc etc that allow you to increase the clock and memory speeds on the video card, hence overclcoking it.

Nothing flash at the moment. But i'm getting a G4 ti 4600 soon....
Would overclocking that on a say 2.8GHz cpu, 512mb ddr 333 really make a difference?

The only reason you would want to o'clock a 4600 with that system would be if you want to run UT 2K3 or another newer game in high resolutions with AA and anisotropic filtering cranked. Otherwise it should be fine at stock speeds.
