overclocking

Okay, I am getting ready to overclock my video card for the first time, here are my specs:

eVGA 7800GT CO edition
A64 3200+ venice
1 gig corsair
blah blah blah

I know coolbits is the best, but how do I know when its stable?

Also, i need a link to d/l 3dmark05

FutureMark

Just use Coolbits to "detect optimal frequencies".

You can slightly increase the clocks from there till you run into artifacting. Then back it down a little.

detect optimal is a ok try but may say it detects too high, others too low, all agree, it's not accurate. icrease or decrease frequency until it passes runs in 3dmark05 and gaing without weird artifacts.

Try pushing your ram higher until it either artifacts or crashes the bench program and then bring it back down a bit once you find where it fails. Also do that with your core and you will get a better overclock than the tool which does it for you.
