Overclocking XP 1600+ on an Abit KR7A-Raid

Just wondering if anybody is familiar with overclocking the FSB on this board without clocking the AGP and PCI out of spec. You can obviously go over 133 Mhz, but it seems that the AGP & PCI clock only runs at 2/3, 1/3 the bus or 1/2, 1/4 the bus with no specific settings. Also, I don't want to get into another memory discussion, but the Samsung -B0 chips (which I have), I've heard they overclock well, but aren't they only rated at 133 Mhz at 2.5, just doesn't seem like they would do 166Mhz+

I had this board. It is ok I guess. I wasnt happy with it because it didnt have the dividers. So it is not a 333 chipset. My brother has it and he has a xp1800 and he is running at 1900mhz. Just get good ddr and run the fsb up to as far as you can and then back it off a couple of notches. I dont remember his settings though. Just remember that most ddr is not cl2 it is cl2.5 unless you have really good ram. Upgrade the fans in your box and the hsf and let it rock. Good luck

I like to set the vCore voltage up a step on the BIOS, and also raise the DDR voltage to the setting that is one level bleow the highest. It really seems to run well with good quality memory RAM like the Crucial PC2100 or the TRUE Samsung PC2700's. I set to 2T and 1T in the BIOS and everything runs fine ....and fast. There's a trick in the BIOS which has to do with enabling memory cache, and choosing 128 or 256 in a harddrive swap/loan which makes the memory act with the video card to perform as 2048MB, but don't know if you'll see it unless you run a PCPitStop Tune-up/Test off of the PCWord 'Tools' program.
I've been able to turn this feaature on with two ABIT KR7A-133 boards. See if it works for you.
