I've seen at least three reviews with overclocking ATI X800 XL (hothardware, guru3d and vr-zone.sg). I am getting ready to get powercolor x800 xl and vr-zone.sg guys OCed it pretty successfully, with more modding than i would like personally though. Hothardware mentioned using EnTech PowerStrip and guru3d talked about Rivatuner.
I've never done it, however seems to be easy enough to do some light OCing, just crank up the numbers and get to no artifacting. Nobody seems to mention if it helps to do some light hard mod. You know, like better compound and cooler. I have some Arctic silver, is that feasible to use on Vcard or i will fry everything? Should i aply some Arctic Silver, keep the same cooler and crank it up to 440-450/550-560? Or i gotta use somth like Arctic ATI Silencer and use whatever comes with it and EnTech PStrip?
