overclocking x2

I got a x2 3800+ thats solid at 2.4Ghz@default voltage. I go up to 2.6Ghz and I ran tests all day and one of the cores failed the test but the other was doing fine.

What would be the maximum one would want to raise the vcore to with these x2's? I am running 4 heatpipe cooler(stock higher end x2 cooler).

Depending on who you ask, either 1.45v or 1.50v should be the maximum. That depends on how long you're wanting to keep that processor, of course. Some of the guys over at XS will give them 1.7v and higher. But, with a stock heatpipe heatsink, I wouldn't go over 1.45v, personally.
