I suppose the only thing that would apply would be when I move down the street in about a month... but I suppose I could take off the HSF then... however, for a while I was moving it around a lot, at least to get it in a position to clear the CMOS often. Where it's at now (and where it'll be in the new place) I have to unplug it and move it a foot or so forward to have enough room to open it and mess with it, and I'm thinking that much movement, even if I'm only doing it a few times a month, would be too much if I had too much weight on it.
Just wondering... do the minimum weight requirements change when you use different mounting hardware? I would imagine AMD/Intel rate by weight for the brackets that come with the motherboards, and don't necessarily account for 3rd party cooling equipment... so maybe the stuff made by third parties is better, in terms of weight capabilities? Or is that a false assumption?
