Overclocking with AMD T-Bird 1.1 ghz

I'm interested in overclocking my 1.1ghz T-Bird chip on my Abit KT7A motherboard, but am new to this process on this type of motherboard.

Can anyone help me with the speed possibilities I can get from this CPU unit and secondly how to overclock it. I've never overclocked anything of that nature. I'm used to doing all the overclocking with jumpers on the motherboard. 🙂

Thanks,
Bill

you can up the fsb in the bios(no need for jumpers) or you can unlock the cpu and change the multiplier in the bios.

If your cpu is unlocked then all you do is up the multiplier and check stability, and keep going untill it is not stable, then add more voltage (warning good cooling reqired) to stabilize the system. If the voltage no longer helps then drop down a bit. Have fun.🙂

If your cpu is not unlocked then got here to see how to unlock a cpu.
